Angela worked as an Organisational Psychologist for several years before taking time off to raise her young family. She is an experienced group facilitator and trainer in Mindfulness and Self-Compassion.
She was one of the Principal Consultants for the Qld Government in Conflict Resolution. During her time on leave from the public sector she started researching Mindfulness and Meditation and the incredible benefits it offered. It was then that her career aspirations changed as her passion for Mindfulness grew. Angela is now a trained teacher in the ‘Mindful Self-Compassion’ Program for adults, along with the Adolescent Program (an adaptation of MSC) called ‘Making Friends with Yourself’ (MFY). She was trained in Mindful Self-Compassion by the developers of the program Kristen Neff & Chirstopher Germer, along with Steven Hickman and Michelle Becker. She was then trained by Karen Bluth for Making Friends with Yourself (MFY) all through the Centre for Mindful Self-Compassion and the University of California in San Diego. Along with running private workshops, Angela is focussing on taking the MSC & MFY programs into numerous schools in order to help staff, students & parents alike.
