Kelli completed her Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) at the University of Queensland and then went on to complete her Honours (Psychology) and Masters of Clinical Psychology at Bond University. Kelli has been working as a Clinical Psychologist for 14 years, with experience in both the private and public sectors. Kelli specialises in working with adults and has extensive experience with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, post-natal depression, stress-related issues (including work and relationship stress), life transition, grief and low self-worth.
Kelli has a particular interest in mindfulness and self-compassion practices and training and has been running Mindfulness groups for many years. Kelli commenced studying and practising mindfulness over 10 years ago with various teachers. In 2014, Kelli trained in Kristin Neff and Christopher Germer’s work ‘Mindful Self-Compassion’, completing her Teacher Training in 2017. Kelli is passionate about assisting individuals in cultivating mindfulness into daily life, as well as developing a more compassionate and loving relationship with themselves. Kelli personally practices meditation, mindfulness, and self-compassion and has experienced the profound impact this has had on her own life.
Kelli’s approach is warm, compassionate and client-centred, and she provides a safe space for client’s to explore the link between their life and internal experiences. Kelli believes in taking a holistic approach to assist individuals to make positive changes in their life. Kelli is inspired to support individuals to learn new strategies and tools to move through life’s challenges, as well aligned with their own personal values and heartfelt desires to create a life that is meaningful, joyful and fulfilling.
Kelli draws on various evidence-based therapeutic modalities to tailor therapy to the individual. Kelli offers Mindfulness-based Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindful Self-Compassion, and Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy. Kelli has also trained in Integrative Restoration Yoga Nidra (iRest).
